About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work alongside teaching staff to provide the individual attention that helps each learner engage, make progress and grow in confidence. Working with a FE provider in the South East, you'll play a key role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
You'll deliver one-to-one and small-group support, adapting your approach to suit different needs and learning styles. Your patience and encouragement will help learners build the skills and independence they need to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting learners individually and in small groups both in and out of the classroom.
- Working alongside teaching staff to reinforce learning and deliver interventions.
- Encouraging learners to build confidence, motivation and independence.
- Adapting resources and support to remove barriers to learning.
- Monitoring and feeding back on learner progress to teaching colleagues.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience of supporting learners in an education setting
- Patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to learner progress
- The ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and colleagues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A relevant qualification in learning support or education
- Experience supporting learners with additional needs
